Patient Safety

At Lakeview Dental Care, your health and safety are our highest priority. Our offices are already well known for being very clean and precautious. However, we have added the following additional safety measures based on NJ State, CDC, and ADA guidelines.

  1. We will be strictly maintaining our existing safety precaution. LVDC has always practiced excellent OSHA-compliant universal precaution. We will continue to truly care about the health and safety of our patients and team members.
  2. We have a COVID-19 Task Force. Led by our Clinical Director, our task force is composed of doctor, hygiene, assistant, front desk, and office manager team members to ensure the most current safety standards are implemented and maintained during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  3. We are only seeing patients known to be healthy. They are being screened by phone and in person, including body temperature. Patients not passing the screening cannot come in or are sent home for a 14-day self-quarantine.
  4. Our team members are known to be healthy. We are screening team members at the beginning of each day, including body temperature. Team members not passing the screening cannot come in or are sent home for a 14-day self-quarantine.
  5. We are using the proper PPE (Personal protective equipment): Surgical masks (Level 2, Level 3, N95, KN95) will be worn by all team members all day. Clinical team members will also wear face shields, gowns, and gloves. Patients will always wear a mask except in the operatories.
  6. Patients are being brought right from their cars to the operatories when possible. Only the patient is allowed in the office except for parents, guardians, caregivers, or translators. We are also staggering patient appointments to reduce traffic and the reception area is safely spaced.
  7. Our front desk team is cleaning all surfaces after each patient is checked out. Counters, doorknobs, pens, iPads, faucets, and toilet handles.
  8. We have HEPA air purifiers running 24/7. Our high efficiency particulate air devices remove dust, fungi, bacteria, and viruses from the air.
  9. We will be using HVE for all aerosol generating procedures. High volume evacuation (high speed suction) will always be used when using hand pieces, air/water syringes.
  10. We are offering teledentistry. Many dental issues can be initially managed over the phone and some patients are not yet comfortable with an office visit.
  11. We are sanitizing with a disinfectant aerosol spray. After each patient, the operatories are sprayed down with a safe, disinfectant aerosol (Bio-Blast) that destroys bacteria and viruses. All other common areas are treated at the end of the day.
