Veneers

Having a great smile can make a huge difference in the way you look & feel. We offer a complete range of cosmetic dentistry treatments to create the confident smile you’ve always wanted. We begin with a detailed smile assessment, discussing with you which aspects you like & dislike about your smile. Once our assessment is complete, we will discuss treatment options to help your smile look more natural, healthy & youthful.

For a dramatic smile makeover, porcelain dental veneers are an excellent choice. This type of therapy enables your teeth to have corrections made to crowding, gaps, broken or chipped teeth, discoloration, and size.

What Are Dental Veneers?

Veneers are the most conservative restorations we offer. They consist of a thin strip of porcelain that covers mostly the front of the tooth. We use porcelain so we can change the color to closely match your natural teeth. Unlike dental crowns, which cover the entirety of a tooth, veneers require less enamel removal, so most of your original tooth structure stays intact.

Rather than replacing your whole tooth, a veneer gives your tooth a “new face.” Each veneer hugs the front of your tooth, creating the appearance of brand new, beautiful teeth.

Procedure Overview

Getting a veneer requires at least two appointments. At the first appointment, the dentist prepares your tooth so that a veneer can be placed. A couple of weeks later, they will permanently attach the veneer to your tooth.

Although any type of dental procedure may seem daunting at first, the process of applying veneers doesn’t take long and is done by our highly skilled and experienced dentists.

  • Step 1: A dental veneer procedure begins with the dentist removing a very small amount of your front tooth enamel.
  • Step 2: After the tooth is reduced, The dentist will take a quick mold of your teeth in order to make a veneer that comfortably fits your smile.
  • Step 3: Once the dental mold is complete, it may take several weeks to receive your permanent veneer. Your dentist will put on a temporary veneer to protect your tooth until the permanent veneer is ready.
  • Step 4: During your last appointment, your dentist will permanently attach your personalized veneer after making any final adjustments.

Veneer Aftercare

After the procedure is complete, your dentist will advise you on the best ways to care for your veneers. Although veneers are strong, they can still chip or break just like natural teeth, so it’s important to be wary of chewing hard foods and grinding your teeth. The better your oral hygiene habits are the longer your veneers will last, so be sure to be rigorous with brushing and flossing daily in order to keep them strong and avoid any potential staining.
