Dr. Scott was born in Chicago and raised on New York’s Long Island. His undergraduate studies at SUNY Buffalo focused on the studio arts and the social, natural and physical sciences. He graduated, Magna Cum Laude, with a BA in Psychology in 1980 and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa that same year. Dr. Scott is a 1984 graduate of the Georgetown University School of Dentistry and completed his post graduate residency training at Waterbury Hospital Health Center in 1985.
The circuitous path to dentistry through the studio arts and social sciences was not intentional but has proven to be advantageous. It has helped meld the art, craft and science of dentistry as well as enhance the appreciation of the individuality of each patient in finding ways to help them realize their individual oral health and esthetic goals in a comfortable and supportive environment.
After his formal training, Dr. Scott and his wife Debbie, a physical therapist and musician, settled in South Jersey where he has been in private practice since 1985. With 17 years at his current location in Haddon Heights he enjoys treating loyal patients of many years as well as welcoming new patients.
Outside of dentistry Dr. Scott and his wife Debbie enjoy the great outdoors and music. Dr. Scott is an avid cyclist and swimmer and enjoys stringed instrument construction and repair.
