Dr. Martha Caceres Peguero grew up in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, before majoring in biology at Florida International University in Miami. During her undergraduate years, she discovered a love of science and learning while researching dolphins, owl monkeys and macaques. Her passion for dental health grew while working with the National Institute of Health to present research to Florida lawmakers to improve children’s access to care.
Dr. Martha received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh. While there, she started a student-run, free clinic that provided dental care to Pittsburgh’s medically underserved populations. Dr. Martha’s purpose became delivering quality dental care to all patient populations. In order to do so, she pursued additional training in treating patients with special needs, medically compromised patients and those with dental anxiety. Dr. Martha enjoys all aspects of dentistry. Her goal is always to provide functional and aesthetic dentistry, while ensuring her patients are well-informed, comfortable and active participants in their oral care.
Outside of the office, Dr. Martha spends her time reading thrillers, putting together 3D puzzles, unsuccessfully trying to out-cook her fiancé, Juan, and playing with their fetch-obsessed pup, Rocco
