Dr. J. Victor Duran was born & raised in Houston, Texas. He completed his undergraduate education at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, graduating cum laude with bachelor’s degrees in biology & Spanish. After completing graduate work at Dartmouth College, he continued his education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2007 in the top quarter of his class. The following year he completed a general practice residency at York Hospital, in York, Pennsylvania.  There he earned an outstanding resident award as well as an implant placement award.

Dr. Duran practiced clinically & taught dental assisting in the Philadelphia area for a few years prior to moving to the Midwest. There he joined the National Health Service Corps, first becoming a staff dentist in the Lake Superior Chippewa tribe in Wisconsin & later transferring to central Michigan. While in Michigan, he served as a legislative delegate in the Michigan Dental Association, as well as a member & treasurer of the Saginaw Valley Dental Association.  After serving in both Wisconsin & Michigan’s public health arenas for five years, he worked in a private practice consistently voted the top in Saginaw for the past ten years.

Dr. Duran, his wife Nicole, their beautiful daughter Madeleine, their dog Spock & their cat Beaker have returned to New Jersey to be near family. He & his wife enjoy traveling, hiking, wine & are avid animal lovers.
