Dr. Alvin Buniag was born and raised in the U.S. Territory of Saipan, the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands. He graduated with honors from the University of San Francisco where he majored in biology and minored in chemistry and military science. Dr. Buniag is a U.S. veteran who served in the Army for more than five years. He was inspired to pursue dentistry while volunteering with dental missions in the Philippines. Dr. Buniag earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. Dr. Buniag is clinically proficient in many areas of dentistry, including composite/amalgam restorations, root canal therapy, crown and bridge restorations, simple/surgical extractions and more.

Dr. Buniag’s varied experiences in the military, federally qualified health centers and private practice instilled in him a work ethic dedicated to making patients feel comfortable and heard in the clinic chair. He employs a humanistic approach, establishing rapport and trust, to best address his patients’ concerns and build comprehensive treatment options. Dr. Buniag values excellence in education, as well as continuous personal and professional growth. He is a member of the American Dental Association.

Dr. Buniag is passionate about community service and social responsibility, which stems from his participation in a dental mission to Fiji, as well as community dental outreach programs in California. In his spare time, Dr. Buniag enjoys swimming, running, cooking, traveling, experiencing new cuisines, and spending time with his wife and son.
